Dear chessplayers,

it is my sad duty to inform you that one of the slovak chessplayers in OMD Dystro Openet 2015 tournament, Erik Britan, has gone in his 39 years pending the tournament.

He was playing in the initial rounds of the tournament yet, but than he got down sick and died.

He was a real fighter and he left this world fighting till the last minute - at least at the chess board.

May he rest in peace,

Ondrej Bašták Ďurán,

the arbiter

Game list of the 5. round

2015-02-16

Dear chess-players,

click here to view the games list of the 5. round.

We poped across a half of the tournament and we can see the ranking of players being crystalized in a nice way. In a Dystro category the leader of the table is Nazim Muhamad (Yemen, 3,5), following by Viliam Krajc (Slovakia, 3) and Dariusz Kustra (Poland, 3). The leaders of Non Dystro category are masterfully the russian players Vladimir Pronin, Maxim Marievsky and Igor Kolomyčenko, every one with a full gain of 4 points. These players lead the table of all the players in the tournament too.

On the web site containing the game results is published also the individual country rankings and aggregated countries ranking too - it is calculated as a sum of scores of the 3 best players for given country. The best ranked country is Russia (12), following by Slovakia (9) and Yemen (8,5).

I believe you like the tournament and I wish you good luck and fun in the 5. round,

Ondrej Bastak Duran, the arbiter of the tournament
